A Pot de bouillon is a classic1800s French item used for storing or carrying soup. Sometimes it was also called a Sustenteur, or sustance giver, as they were used to bring soup to the sick. The pot itself is heavy with a pewter lid to provide insulation. The condition of this one is excellent!
